first attempt to start editing

Today in our lesson we decided to start importing and editing the performance clips that we took on Sunday. As we had to import all our clips and then change them to MPEG files it took quite a while to get our footage onto the macs but once we had it on this was when we first realised our problem. As our band are fairly unknown they don't have an actual single that you are able to buy on itunes at the moment. We didn't realise this and thought  we would be able to get it either from itunes or through their YouTube or Soundcloud profiles but the problem was that if we did take it from their YouTube the quality would not be that good and so our music video would not be as polished as we first thought. In order to overcome this we had to contact one of the members of the band and ask if he was able to send us over a copy of their EP or something and he said he would but just not at this moment, it would have to be later on tonight. As this came up we weren't actually able to start editing and putting our work onto final cut pro yet because there would be no sound to work with, but we were able to get all our footage onto a computer at least and at least when we do start to edit next week we will have the good quality song to make a fantastic quality music video!
