Editing Analysis :Haim - Falling

I also decided to look at the editing style of another indie music video by Haim called Falling. In total there are 140 cuts which we thought on first look to be a lot but when you watch the music video it doesn't actually go particularily quickly so we figured we would have to put that many in ours. I also noticed that most of the action happens in real time with the artist using jump cuts throughout to swap from scenes of the wood and the dark scene. These cuts also take place at random intervals and not at the same time as the song as I thought they would on first embarking on the editing process of our music video. Another thing I noticed was the fact that the speed changes and gets faster when the music picks up tempo which is defintiely something we will have to look into when making our music video.
