After this we then decided to compare The Macabees music video to what we already had and realised that we need to change a few things in order to keep with the indie genre. We noticed that in most indie music videos there are cuts every 2-3 seconds and in ours there was a cut every 5 seconds which is nearly double what it should be! In order to adjust that we decided to change the very beginning of the music video when we have the 6 bangs of the drum sticks and thought it would be a good idea to put a different member of the band on each of the 4 hits in the middle. We weren't sure initially if it would work but we thought we shoud try it as we wanted to make it as interesting as possible for the audience. After trying it we realised that it did actually look quite good and thought we should keep it! It also made us realise that we had to do some more things like this in order to keep up the fast paced nature that music videos tend to have and to keep the audience interested.
