Creativity

'Creativity is the act of turning new and imaginative ideas into reality. Creativity involves two processes: thinking, then producing. If you have ideas, but don’t act on them, you are imaginative but not creative.'

As a class we looked at what we thought the definition of creativity was and I thought the quote above gave a good overall look at what the word means. To me, creativity is the act of actually making an idea you have in your head turn into something real and just purely having these ideas is more of what imagination stands for rather than creativity itself. However it has a different meaning to everyone in that some of the ideas we got as a class were does it have to be something original? Is it thinking outside the box? Or is it something to do with being into art? There were many ideas floating around but most had this idea of originality.

Being creative and having imaginative thoughts are going to be key in the making of our music videos, both pre and post production. We have already had to start thinking of different and original ideas for our narrative part of our music video and in this we have thought of unique ways in which we want to use devices such as slow motion.
