Costume, Actor and Prop Research for our Narrative

When we started looking into who we wanted to be our actor in our narrative it became pretty obvious that the best person to represent the band would be the band themselves. It then came to the hard decision as to whether we wanted the whole of the band or just one of them, most probably Harry. When we logistically looked at things we realised that we would only be able to get hold of one bike and so this limited us dramatically. We decided that the most realistic thing to do would be to just take Harry and have him cycling around on his own as he is the main artist and the rest of the band are in the performance section of our music video so it wasn't as if people would think it was just the one member of the band!

The main prop we decided to use in our music video was the old Chopper bike that we were able to borrow from our teacher. We thought that it went really well with the retro feel that most indie music videos try to go for aswell as being very similar to some of the bikes in the music video we got our influence from for our narrative.

Once we had allocated the actor we had to look into what we wanted him to wear. To do this we researched indie and 'hipster' fashion that is very much a popular look for Indie bands and came up with clothes that you can see opposite. (ADD PICTURE AT HOME) As Harry is already pretty indie himself he had many of the clothes already that we asked him to wear and his hair is very similar to what we were after; messy and big! This was all really helpful as it meant we didn't have to purchase anything as we had it all and we were able to just go ahead and shoot which is exciting!!
