'Holding out forever now
Holding out forever now
Its on your head,
Its on your head.
Make it last forever now
Or take your time to figure out
Its on your head
Its on your head.
Massive fly by the riverside; smack it down
Open wide hope the oxygen will save me now
Tears to cry in a puddle and your making me drown.
Kiss of life in the fire lying on the ground
Smoke will rise through the ashes know you'll save me now
Tears to cry in a puddle and your making me drown.
And your making me drown x9
Holding out forever now
Holding out forever now
Its on your head,
Its on your head.
Make it last forever now
Or take your time to figure out
Its on your head,
Its on your head.
Holding out forever now
Holding out forever now
Its on your head,
Its on your head.
Make it last forever now
Or take your time to figure out
Its on your head,
Its on your head.'
Above are the lyrics to our song Holding Out by Youth Club For Rich Kids and I have decided that it will be beneficial to the production of our music video if I was to analyse the lyrics as they do play a vital role in the music video. We knew that the words 'holding out' are the most important lyrics in the whole song as they are repeated costantly throughout the song but also as the song is called Holding Out. From this it made us understand that these would most definitely be the most intimate parts of the music video and so whenever he said this we thought it would be a good idea to use close up shots of Harry as he is the singer and main songwriter so the lyrics mean a lot to him. Another thing I realised from both listening to the song and reading the lyrics is that when it repeats the lines 'and your making me drown' 9 times the tempo picks up and the music starts to become faster. We thought this would mean a great deal to our music video and so have decided that at these parts we should do short, snappy shots of close ups of both the band and the narrative side of our piece to create a sense of havoc and commotion for our audience. I also picked up on the fact that the song has lots of nature references which I thought would be important as it talks about being 'by the riverside' and 'fire' so I thought that for our narrative we should film it somewhere outside, possibly at a park or field, to keep with this theme.
