Research into Color
'Color has been designed from the ground up as a feature-rich color correction environment that complements a wide variety of post-production workflows, whether your project is standard definition, high definition, or a 2K digital intermediate.'
The software we used in order to colour grade all our music videos was called Color and as it is something I have never used before I thought it would be beneficial to research it a bit before I actually started to use it. Basically it is a software purely made for Apple which will allow us to filter our music video so that we can get the right colours for our genre of music. For example we really wanted to emphasis the browns and reds in our music video to make it as warm as possible as we discovered that this is quite a common trait in most of the editing of music videos. The software was orginally made to use alongside Final Cut Pro and includes features such as primary colour correction, pan and scan effects and motion tracking. Color has been created to give you precise control over the look of every shot in your project and is generally one of the last steps taken to finish an edited programme.
